I’m having trouble logging in, what should I do?
If you are unable to login to your StumbleUpon account, please try the following steps:

- Make sure you have the right password and are typing it correctly (remember that passwords are case-sensitive!). If you don’t remember your password, you can reset it here.

- If you login with your email address (rather than your StumbleUpon username), make sure you are using the email address you used to create your StumbleUpon account.
- If you are using the StumbleBar for Firefox, make sure you are logged out from the StumbleBar before trying to login (to log out click the “Tools” button then “Sign-out”).

- clear your browser cache and delete all StumbleUpon cookies.
- Restart your browser.
- Try logging in on different browsers (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome, etc.).

How do I change my password?
To change your password:

1) Go to your Profile page and click the link to “Your Settings” at the bottom of the left hand panel.
2) Click on the “Password” tab on the left hand panel.
3) Type your current password into the space provided for “Current Password,” then enter your new password twice and click the yellow “Save Settings” button.
4) Make sure you save your changes for the new password to take effect.

NOTE:If you are logged in but still don’t know your password, you can send yourself a password reset email. From the “Password” tab page click “Reset Password” to send yourself a reset email. When you reset your password and every time you enter your password to log in to your account, please remember that passwords are CASE SENSITIVE. Your password must also be between 6 and 16 characters. So if you have any capital letters in your password, please make sure to type them correctly. If you don't have any capital letters in your password, make sure your CAPS LOCK key is off.

What if I forgot my current password? How do I reset my password?
Please note, we’ll only send password reminders to the email address associated with your membership, so be sure to keep your account email up to date if you should you change your email.

To reset your password:

1) Make sure you are logged out and go to the StumbleUpon login page here: https://www.stumbleupon.com/login
2) Click on the “Forgot your password?” link to the right of the password entry field.
3) Enter your email address linked to your StumbleUpon account (if you receive an error message that means we have no account under your email – you can either try entering a different email address your account might be under or sign up with a new account).
4) Check your email inbox for a password reset email from StumbleUpon.
5) Click the reset link provided in that email.
6) Type a new password and then enter it again to confirm it (make sure to choose a strong password with letters and numbers to help keep your account secure). You will then be logged in and taken to your Profile pages.

Other issues:

- Password error messageWhen you reset your password and every time you enter your password to log in to your account, please remember that passwords are CASE SENSITIVE. Your password must also be between 6 and 16 characters. So if you have any capital letters in your password, please make sure to type them correctly. If you don't have any capital letters in your password, make sure your CAPS LOCK key is off.
- Didn’t receive the email? Please make sure you are not blocking or filtering message from Stumblemail.com and try searching your spam and junk folders for the message.
- Locked out? StumbleUpon protects your account by limiting the number of password reset emails you can request. Please wait 24 hours and try again.
- Not recognizing your email address? You may not have successfully signed up for StumbleUpon in the past. If your sign up was successful you should have received a confirmation email. You may also want to try entering any other email addresses you have.

My password verification link isn’t working!
Please make sure you are completely signed out of both the site and toolbar by going to http://www.stumbleupon.com/logout

If you are using a StumbleBar you may also need to logout of that as well by clicking Tools>Sign-Out for the Firefox StumbleBar and or clicking the orange SU logo in your Chrome browser and then selecting “Logout” from the pop up menu that shows up.

Then, please try once again to sign-in. If you do not know your password please reset it. Please make sure you are requesting and resetting your password in the SAME version of StumbleUpon. Your password should be a combination of letters and numbers with no special characters.

To reset your password, go to: http://www.stumbleupon.com/reset_password/ and enter the email address you used to create your StumbleUpon account.

We will then send you an email containing a link that will allow you to reset your password.

To use the password reset link, please ensure that you are signed out of your StumbleUpon account. If you are signed in, the system assumes you must know your current password (to be signed in), and take you instead to the Change Password page.

The ‘password reset’ email should contain instructions to this effect – please let us know if that is not the case with your email.

I’m trying to change my username and getting a password error, but I know it’s correct.
If you are trying to select a username that is already taken you will also see the password error message (we are aware of the inaccurate messaging and looking to fix this as soon as possible). You can enter this address into your browser and replace username with the name you desire to see if there is already a user under that name: http://www.stumbleupon.com/stumbler/username

Please also make sure your username does not exceed 16 characters and only includes letters and numbers.

If you have read through the Help Center and require additional assistance please consult our public support forums or write to us at: http://www.stumbleupon.com/feedback.
